Living on the Moon: The Artemis Mission

Living on the Moon:  The Artemis Mission

Fifty years ago, children were fascinated by the many Apollo missions that eventually landed humans on the Moon.  The excitement of that time was contagious and many of us truly believed we would be astronauts some day and journey to space.  NASA is now working toward getting humans back to the Moon not only to live, but to use the Moon as a stepping stone to Mars and perhaps beyond.  The mission to accomplish this feat is called Artemis. To find out about the Artemis Mission, join us at the Louis Latzer Memorial Public Library, 1001 9th Street, Highland, IL, on Tuesday, 10/24/2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Awake your inner child or bring your own children or grandchildren get a glimpse into our future in space.  Telescope viewing will follow the presentation.  Presented by Terry Menz, Outreach Coordinator, River Bend Astronomy Club.
